World Class Plastics, Inc. :

  • 1994: 1 press and 1 customer in a 5,000 square foot building.

  • Presently: 28 presses and 20 customers in over 68,000 square feet of space.

MARCH - Installed a 650 metric ton Toshiba injection molding machine. This is the first Toshiba that has touched WCPI's production floor.

JUNE - Maintenance and Tooling expansion.

FEBRUARY - Installed 2nd all electric 350 metric ton injection molding machine

JANUARY - Installed 1st all electric 350 metric ton injection molding machine

NOVEMBER - Earned China Compulsory Certification (CCC)

OCTOBER - Installed first 6-axis robot from Motoman

MAY - Closing of WCPI plant in Rome, GA

JULY - Celebrated 15 years of business

FEBRUARY - 12,000 sq ft additional warehouse completed at Russells Point

MAY - Installed all electric 450 metric ton injection molding machine

Rome plant earned ISO 9000 certification

MARCH - Added 14,400 square feet to Russells Point facility

JULY - Purchased 1st large tonnage machine: 650 metric tons

JULY - Celebrated 10 years of business

SUMMER - started in-house automation of assemblies

SEPTEMBER - Production begins with 3 machines at a 7,000 sq ft facility in Rome, Georgia

OCTOBER - Invested in Cavity Pressure Technology from RJG

NOVEMBER - Added sonic welding to secondary capabilities

NOVEMBER- Earned QS-9000 Certification

SUMMER - Began implementation of Powershop ERP system

Added Sales & Engineering offices to mezzanine

SPRING - Added tool design, build and repair capability

SUMMER - Established full time Sales department

JUNE - Moved to new 32,000 sq ft facility in Russells Point, Ohio. 
Ended the year with 20 machines from 18 to 350 metric tons

FALL - started using Yushin Netliners to automate part handling

Neil Schroer retired from the company

FALL - Began using Chinese tooling sources

JULY - World Class Plastics, Inc. was incorporated.
Owners were Steve Buchenroth, Scott Wisniewski and Neil Schroer

SEPTEMBER- Production began at 5,000 sq ft warehouse in Lakeview, Ohio.
