Injection Molding

World Class Plastics injection molds product in injection molding machines ranging from 50 – 720 metric tons. Most processes are highly automated by using Yushin multi-axis servos and Shinwa Aeroboy degating robots.

 

From material handling to packaging, processes are automated as much as is practical to control costs and quality of products.

Materials

World Class Plastics, Inc injection molds product using various materials. 

Commodity resins include HDPE, Polypropylene, PVC and ABS. 
Engineering resins such as Acetal, Nylon 6, Nylon 6/6, Nylon 4/6, PBT, Polycarbonate. 

We work with multiple material suppliers including companies such as A Schulman, PolyOne, M. Holland, Asahi and Channel Prime Alliance to meet our customer requirements.

Our Conair material handling system and 4-component Maguire blenders allow us to efficiently handle and blend color concentrates to keep our costs down.

Tight Tolerance Molding

Most of WCPI’s customers require tight visual and/or dimensional tolerances for their products.  Dimensional tolerances on some gears are as tight as 30 microns.  On some threaded valve stems, dimensions are kept to a variance of 0.003”.

Color match is also very critical.  WCPI runs many different custom colors for various customers that are required to meet various L,a,b specifications.

We use 4-component Maguire gravimetric blenders, and automatic or periodic color measurement to ensure color consistency.
